Charity auction

Long awaited and cherished - our first organized event. Ikšķile. The special magic of the annual Ikšķile antiques market, where crowds of traders and buyers meet for two days. And for the first time, so are we. Our intangible goal is to introduce ourselves, our material goal is to collect donations for the organization of workshops.

We were so worried! 😄 But with the wonderful foggy September morning sunrise, cosmic energy flowed in and our worries disappeared. Because everything was great - we had 20 different fantastic, also very valuable auction items, the weather was sunny, people went to the antiques market from 8 in the morning, we had a charity auction leader - Juris Kozlovskis, an improvisational theater actor, photo and video... And at 11 charity auction could start!

Two hours passed without noticing. We have to admit that the crowd did not crowd our tent and we did not really get into the spirit of the auction competition this time. However, people were happy to look at the auctioned items with a smile, someone found something useful for themselves, someone had been looking for something for a long time, someone supported us by donating. For our first time - we achieved our goals and enjoyed the event ourselves. For those who have closer numbers - during the auction three items were handed over to us, we auctioned (sold) 12 items, together with the donated money we got 464.40 EUR.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who donated an antique!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who bought an antique!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who donated!

Thanks also to our charity auction neighbors - the 54th Combat Support Battalion of the National Guard for the improvised "stage"!

Thanks to Juris Kozlovskis for his smile, simplicity, lightness and, of course, humor!

Special thanks to our godmother Ilze Schwarzbach for the idea, presence and donation! 😊

Since we had unauctioned items, we really hope to return to the annual Ikšķile Antiques Market next year. 😉
